| Bio: | Life is always changing......one minute you are having a fiesta and the next you are attending a funeral. It took me years to understand this and to stop worrying about it. I always worried about the silly things in life: what will other people think, what if I make a mistake, why aren't people talking to me, etc. I finally understood that I need to relax and just take life in stride. It makes life more enjoyable and very less stressful, plus you don't have to lie as much. The truth does set you free! I am just an ordinary small-town kid from the Midwest. I grew up in a farm town and went to school. I made some great friends and did okay in school. I was involved in all the things in high school: drama, band, scholar bowl, etc. I tried to be the best at everything and yes I failed many times but I persevered and never gave up hope. Ironically, despite all the bad things that have happened, I have never lost hope in myself or my life. College was the same as high school. I made great friends, studied hard, met fascinating people, and traveled to some interesting places. I came to understand that life wasn't meant to lived staying in a small, safe town; you have to go out and taste everything even the bad stuff or how else will you know if it is bad? It was exciting and sad all at the same time. I fell in love, learned to be a leader, worked alongside incredible people, and just learned. While other people spent their college time drinking or partying, I took the road less traveled by. I realize now that I would never give up my experiences for all the parties and friends for the rest of my life. Yeah, that was another thing I stopped worrying about being perceived as a party person. I have more money and brain cells because I avoid partying a lot. Like I said, just an an ordinary life but when I look back on it now, I realize with some pride and joy that it was one incredible ride. It makes me excited and optimistic about the future. If life is an endless journey, then I will always have my bags packed and my walking shoes ready to go. Life isn't meant to be lived in a small, safe town! Just for information, my name is combination of myself and Londo Mollari from Babylon 5, a character who I sympathize with and understand his situation in his fictional life. | |||||
